Our founder Tharanga Gunasekara's fascination in heavy equipment started at a very young age. Influenced by his father, who is a very successful entrepreneur himself, he as introduced the family business of imports and exports. With his education background having a Bachelors of Accounting from Florida Atlantic University and Masters of Business Administration from the University of South Florida, Tharanga quickly turned its dealership in Srilanka into one of the leading equipment dealers in the nation.

After completion of his work in Srilanka, He started concentrating on Dasthar Machinery to not only supply heavy equipment to Srilanka but to all parts of the globe. Due to its honesty and dedication to customer satisfaction Dasthar Machinery has being able to cater to clients in Africa, Middle East and Asia.
